Unfortunately, the answer is that the stream will be encoded twice. The
reason is that in general we need to perform some computations on the
stream (for instance during a cross-fading or adding a jingle) and
therefore adding support for already-compressed data would be a huge work,
since we would have to ensure that we don't use operators which really
require access to the data...
