The 2.4.1 bugfix release is on schedule, you should see it soon. 2.4 was
a feature release and had a lot of work put into it, including linked
shows (which did have bugs), plus Opus support and a visual editor using
Web Audio API support.

Given that Airtime depends on Liquidsoap, using Liquidsoap only will
present fewer problems, at the expense of having fewer features.

Could you describe what you need from this feature please?

I hope not. Content changes affect all subsequent linked shows, so for
example you can keep the top of the hour jingle and change the content
which follows for each show. Or use a dynamic smart block to change the
content that needs to change.

That is an interesting idea, but I suspect you would unintentionally
have schedule clashes. Feel free to open a feature ticket.

Lots of stations do this. The breakfast show is usually at breakfast
time every day.

I guess it's always breakfast time somewhere :-)

Not if you put a dynamic smart block into a linked show, it should run
for a long time that way.

If your smart block criteria resolves to only long files, you are likely
to get results like this. Do you have any one minute files in your
Library which match the smart block criteria? If so, this is a bug,
please file it.

Were you creating large smart blocks, of over twenty hours for example?
This is a know bug, I filed it.

I do believe you, but like all software upgrades you should evaluate a
feature release before putting it into production. No-one is forcing you
to upgrade.

Please bear in mind that Sourcefabric is a non-profit with a small team
producing this Free Software for you to download. We would welcome your
help in making it better.

Cheers!
