thanks Peter, for some reason i've not considered the url param to an input.http, only start/stop. but that indeed works fine. good to know that it also works stable. i'm using my own php based API, for issuing telnet commands from web clients, so that's easy to implement. along with the icecast feature of dynamic sources /w external authentication this opens quite some possibilities.
