Because the playlist could be changed at any time. This allows me to
change the up and coming file order to be played out (the shows are 4
hours each!) A re-read on completion could mean its up to 16 hours out
from the time of the change.

Why every 10 minutes? It will just scan every time it finishes for
changes, if I remember correc tly I'm still learningn though.

Hello All
I have a script that reloads a playlist every 600 seconds to check for
changes and pushes this to an icecast server.
I would like to curl an external API with the file name each time a
track starts.
Looking through the reference there is an on.track command which posts
metadata but I think i might be looking at the wrong function here.
