looking at the DNAS dev wiki you can update the v2 xml metadata song title via http get request
admin.cgi?sid=#&mode=updinfo&type=xml&song=xml If 'title' is not empty then it will be set as the current song title for the stream specified until the next use of this action or the next title update is received from the source. Specifying '&type=xml' will process the value of 'song' as v2 XML metadata instead of a v1 title.
