Hi happy Saturday as well. I will copy paste something from some weeks ago that I found for you:
---------------------- As it says here: http://liquidsoap.fm/download.html You can download source code published by Savonet from the github releases page: https://github.com/savonet/liquidsoap/releases The recommended way for newcomers is to use the liquidsoap-full-xxx.tar.gz tarball. This tarball includes all required OCaml bindings and allows you to compile and install liquidsoap in a single configure, make and make install procedure. You will still need the corresponding C libraries and their development files, though. You will then have to build the source. http://liquidsoap.fm/doc-svn/build.html So if you got a development server you can try there or install VirtualBox and setup a debian jessie virtual machine and mess it as much as you wish and keep notes in a txt and there you are :D ---------------------- I would like to add that learning how to do all this will give you freedom. Keeping notes and making your own tutorials line-by-line in txt files is excellent. Just mess in a sandbox installation so you don't care of failures and mistakes. I find it similar to driving a card with gears compared to an automatic, you actually do something and it's more fun :D George On 07/02/2016 07:49 PM, Sarah Alawami wrote: > I've got a friend on the social sphere who wants to try and attempt to add > liquidsoap 1.2.x to the apt-get repositories and submit it so that those of > us who don't have the patience to use opam can quickly get up and running.
