Could you use let's encryt to create the certificate serverside?  If you use 
their app it will Auto renew the cert or you can use chron job to do it.

This still works here. What version of Chrome are you using?

Adding SSL support to liquidsoap should be possible. The problem is that SSL 
certificates are basically a scam scheme so that puts a lot of burden on the 
users..
