Hi there all,

Firstly, I sincerely apologise if you were being sent the forwarded message a
few times, an issue with our university’s Exim install was causing emails to be
resent.

As far as I’m aware, it didn’t make it out of moderation, so i’ll try again now
that i’ve joined the group.

Expanding along the end of last email, we’ve had to restart liquidsoap for our
new term of broadcasting, hence the Catchup messages and blank audio errors
have currently gone away.

We’ve noticed that on start, Jack is giving us an error that it can’t start in
real time mode, which we guess is the major problem, however it’s currently all
working fine without it.

The only other message i’ve seen on the jukebox.liq file specifically is:

“”
2018/09/27 22:10:43 [buffer_59837:3] Warning: #get called when not #is_ready!
This is normal if an operator using this source has been unused while the
source has gone unavailable. If unsure about this warning, you are very welcome
to report it and ask for clarifications.
“”

I’ve looked around on this mailing list and there have been a few suggestions,
but I haven’t managed to work out a solution. It would appear to be right after
it does a smart_crossfade, but not every time. There is no audible problem, but
I’d like to confirm what’s wrong here.

Thanks again all!

Regards,
Matthew Stratford
