@toots You're welcome! That sounds like a good solution.
In this case, we're talking about a stream to another company, which listens to
the stream and broadcasts it as digital radio (DAB) for us, which involves
transcoding the audio to a lossy format before broadcasting. So the idea was to
avoid doing a lossy encoding twice. But as you say, I don't think anyone would
notice a difference when using a high enough bitrate with Ogg Vorbis.
p g: We have tried reducing the volume a little, but the sound is not clipping
while "inside" LiquidSoap. It is only when it is outputted that it clips, so
reducing the volume does not help, since it's clipping by a lot more than we'd
like to reduce the volume, e.g. due to loud noises and the like.
@smimram: Oh, thanks, I had no idea there was something like that! `clip` might
do the trick.
