Thanks for this report. It's an interesting idea. There is a mailing list for
for a while its use has blended with the use of github issues for support
requests indeed. For that reason, github issues have been forwarded to the
mailing list for a couple of months now.
Before implementing your idea I'd like to have a quick review of other
potential tools to achieve the same goal. A chat channel is personally not an
option. Are you or anybody reading this aware of other tools we could use to
ove away from the sourceforge mailing list?
