Duh.

Many thanks Romain for clearing that up. No further questions.

Great that you have a solution up and running as well, yet i stick with
metadata, and toss mpd-listeners. Cant help'em!

Hi all,

The ogg container has a well-known issue with multi-track streams.
Essentially, ogg streams with multiple tracks look exactly like a
sequence of normal ogg files so players who are not implemented with
streams in mind think the whole thing is over at the end of the first
tracks. It's a very annoying bug, quite widespread and doesn't seem to
be properly addressed either by an update of the ogg specs or the
players maintainers.

Regarding liquidsoap, the best you can do to avoid it is to remove all
track marks and also all metadata since metadata require a new track
in the ogg specs. You can achieve that by using drop_metadata and
merge_tracks

    Hi There,

This issue has affected me, too, but only on OGG outputs. MP3 and
    AAC outputs seem fine.

    Using Liquidsoap 1.4.1

    track

    Hi all,

i have a liquidsoap-to-icecast stream of FLAC files that makes mpd
    applications stop at each track.

    Liquidsoap/1.5.0+git@4b72b518 (Unix; OCaml 4.08.0); Icecast 2.4.4

    server_type     application/ogg

Is that known to work or not work or that it is a problem of
    icecast or
mpd, or the liquidsoap config need to accomplish?

    thanks!

    Florian
