This would enormously help my next idea if I knew how to code it in
Liquidsoap's language.

Beyond the 'smart' playlist tools discussed in my talk the other day (good
of you to organise that, and LOVELY to meet the community at last), I'd
like to use FFmpeg to help automatic detection of 'fadeable' songs (i.e.
look for a gradual fade-out that isn't too bumpy -- bumpiness could
indicate a quiet, but dead, ending like "Bohemian Rhapsody" -- one must
NEVER fade that early!) then choose fade points among these
automatically-detected tracks to produce instant playlists automatically
timed to the second.

The system would obviously email an error to the station programmer  if
such a playlist with automatically-detected fades, to a set time, could not
be produced.

But I need to learn Liquidsoap more for that. And, having just completed a
big edit on a film, there's time to do that now.
