after disabling and re-enabling parts of my script and also trying different
variables, i found out that the errors which i've listed in my previous
email come from the fact that LS in this rc1 version can't have a playlist
in m3u format, it must be a simple folder path or a single filename of a
track, it can't be an actual playlist anymore....
this wouldn't work:
dieninis = playlist(id="dieninis", mode="random", reload_mode="rounds",
reload=1, "X:/trax/dienius.m3u")
also it was difficult to find as LS was throwing an obscure error wich
didn't refer to a precise line.
i had to remove part of the script which does metadata mappings for error to
start appearing with more sense (although the mapping part seems to be
written properly and doesn't throw any errors by itself, it works when other
stuff is sorted).
what's more to it - my other radios which didn't crash instantly, turned out
to be having problems with updating metadata: it got stuck at perhaps the
first track played in the morning and sat like that for a whole day...
although the radio played what it should, and otherwise operated normally.\
so yeah, rc1 is very much buggy. beta3 too, although in a different way.
beta2 is almost fine, except the memory leaks which come from harbors and
perhaps telnet.
