Could you describe more on how you use them? Meta+arrows to navigate between viewports spatially. But if desired viewport is too far away (e.g. I'd need to press Meta+left arrow six times, I just click on the pager. Mouse button 8/9 to move to previous/next viewport (viewport undo/redo script). This is exceptionally useful to go back without clicking on the pager again or pressing Meta+right arrow six times again. Also very useful if I forget what I was doing, just go back a few viewports "back in time" and I will recognize my previous stuff that I was on. > 7. Have any idea on them? Stacking workspaces in "3D", with OpenGL/compiz :) Giving screen an illusionary depth. Current workspace on front, next workspaces (as much as you want) blurred and smaller in the background, like with a perspective in a corridor. The you would move "forward" and "backward" between workspaces and they would be shrinking and extending, those out of focus becoming blurry, (maybe transparent too) and smaller, but still visible on current screen. Zooming out to see whole workspace on a single screen, with all the viewports being much smaller, and windows being smaller, everything squeezed on a single screen. -- Janek Kozicki |
