My guess would be that this is due to the order in which windows are maximized and/or taken under management as sawfish starts. Is it possible that the problem is that windows are taken over by sawfish and maximized before the gnome panel has yet been noticed by sawfish? -- Jeremy Hankins <[email protected]>
