Which temporary window do you mean? For instance the preferences window
is not transient, so from the wm point of view it is just another top
level window. This could be construed a bug in Firefox, or maybe not.
It is a matter of taste. In any case, Sawfish treats the window as
instructed. In contrast, the open file dialog is transient. If it
closes while focused, focus reverts to the browser window it was
transient for.
