You seem to use GNOME, so it may not apply, but I put things in ~/.Xclients. (Do man xinit) As Chris says, running processes not related to Sawfish suffer from Sawfish restart, so I recommend to putting them outside of .sawfishrc. Regards, Teika (Teika kazura)
