besides, there's the `xterm' function. so you may also do:

(define-special-variable xterm-program "xterm &")
("_xterm" (xterm))

... if xterm-program is not customized and GNOME is running, it is set to
gnome-terminal.wrapper, if KDE is running, konsole, else - obviously - the 
user-set
value.

C.R.B: Das ist ganz normal, deswegen heißt es ja Winter und Wintereinbruch. Oder
sind Sie auch überrascht, dass im Sommer die Temperaturen steigen, die Tage

und die Röcke kürzer werden?
