hi, i've noticed that, after putting my laptop to sleep to RAM, when i awake it the amount of memory consumed by the X server goes up by 20Mb or so (this happens under latest sawfish, but not other window managers). it looks as if, upon having to reconnect to the server (xorg 7.5, with an nvidia card), sawfish is neither re-using nor freeing the previously allocated X resources (just a totally uneducated guess: i know very little about X11)... of course it could also be some bug with the X driver (i use the proprietary one, fwiw), but then i would expect the same problem with other wms, and, as i said, i don't observe it.
or is there any other explanation/fix? tia, jao -- "Light thinks it travels faster than anything but it is wrong. No matter how fast light travels it finds the darkness has always got there first, and is waiting for it." -Terry Pratchett, Reaper Man
