I'm somewhat fuzzy as to how Sawfish is tied to GNOME but here is one user that has happily used Sawfish with GNOME since it was *the* GNOME WM and continues to do so to this day. I would be unhappy to loose that ability. I rather like what GNOME provides except for their (current) WMs. Tuxfamily appears to be a hosting service. How is that a replacement for a desktop env? -Brett.
