Recently I wrote elsewhere: ------------------------------------------------------------------------ Warning: Health issue --------------------- [My] hack is likely to reduce the use of your pinkies, and the risk of their injury like RSI. However, overuse of keyboards can damage *any* digits, although pinkies are most vulnerable. ------------------------------------------------------------------------ Thumbs are more robust than other fingers, but you can damage them. Now tablets and smart phones are already greatly popular, and this problem will be common, too. (D M German has foreseen the future.) I wrote a "handy modifier hack" (for Linux only) which allows you to reduce use of pinkies in keyboard in typical cases. The above sentence is in its README. I haven't got time to advertise it yet, but if you're interested, visit: http://gitorious.org/at-home-modifier/at-home-modifier I can't live without it any more. Teika (Teika kazura)
