Hello everybody, I'm currently considering to add a compositor to my desktop stack for two reasons. First, I'd like to get rid of tearing (it does get annoying from time to time), second, I'd like to be able to do some more interesting stuff with windows (for example transparency).
I've been looking at Compton and Unagi, and they seem to be the best choices available but are quite limited, and from what I could gather they also do not expose a lot of functionality to be controlled from the outside. For example being able to control the window opacity from a third-party application (like Sawfish). I'm now interested if somebody is running Sawfish in combination with a compositor and if yes, with which one what features does it offer to you? -- Sawfish ML
