An opportunity to get funding for your favourite conservation project! Note the short deadline (30th Sept). Nick Oriental Bird Club - Conservation fund OBC invites applications for grants for conservation work and conservation awareness projects in the oriental region. The OBC/Asia Ecological Consultants Award (up to £1500) is for ornithological fieldwork relating to a threatened species. The OBC-WildWings Award (up to £1000) is for projects that aim to raise conservation awareness about threatened bird species and their habitats. The Forktail-Zeiss award (up to £1500) is for projects seeking to conserve threatened species and a separate award of £1000 is available for projects in Vietnam. The OBC Expedition Award (up to £1000) is for student expeditions that add to our knowledge of threatened birds in the region and will utilise local counterparts and have a heavy emphasis on training. OBC Conservation Fund Small Grants offer funding of up to £1000 for ornithological fieldwork relating to a threatened species and for projects attempting to raise conservation awareness about threatened bird species and their habitats. In 2008 the OBC Conservation Fund will be offering a similar range of awards. There will be a single deadline for all these awards in 2008 which will be 31 March.
