Dear Pak Colin & Pak Yus, It is very difficult question for me. I think Pak Yus could be right "perhaps to the availability of suitable media for early writers". There are Indonesians having noteworhty records from the field, but "may be" they still not confident to publish their record by them self (although some our friends eg. Noni, Imam and Kang Adam have success to submit their paper in BirdingAsia) or they could be also very busy for spend their time to writing.
I have info from Pak Richard that many young Indonesians submit their paper to Kukila 14, and few paper appear to be published (eg. Agus Nurza with breeding Shikra record in Aceh). It is possible if suitable media for early writers available, they have chance to learn to be confident to publish their record. Finally, I agree with Pak Yus that we wish to have a more "serious" discussion on this.
