hi sc-l, Turns out that most all of us are newbies when it comes to computer security. There is plenty to learn from people who have been active in the field from the 70s. One such influential thinker (and friend) is Virgil Gligor. Virgil recently moved from University of Maryland to CMU where he co-directs the Cylab.
http://www.cigital.com/silverbullet/show-037/ We talk about Virgil's view of software security as well as how Virgil feels about security and individual liberty. Virgil's views are informed by his childhood in Romania. He knows precisely what freedom is. Enjoy, and as usual your feedback would be great. gem http://www.cigital.com _______________________________________________ Secure Coding mailing list (SC-L) [email protected] List information, subscriptions, etc - http://krvw.com/mailman/listinfo/sc-l List charter available at - http://www.securecoding.org/list/charter.php SC-L is hosted and moderated by KRvW Associates, LLC (http://www.KRvW.com) as a free, non-commercial service to the software security community. _______________________________________________
