I think it's a welcome change. It doesn't say so in this article clip, but he is Dr. Zatko, and has worked in instruction and academia, so it's not too far a leap for them. He's also been working in the federal space quite a bit since the L0pht sold out and shutdown. Dan Geer did something similar a couple years ago when he joined In-Q-Tel.
