We made it safely through Frances and got home to a hot but intact home with the power
back on by about 3 hours. Lost all the food in the fridge and freezers, but that is
minor, compared to what it could have been.
Meanwhile, Ivan the Terrible is also headed for us. Is this how it felt in period
when Ghengis Kahn plowed through Europe or when the Black Plague reared its ugly head?
I think "I survived the Rain of Ivan the Terrible" T-shirts would make an excellent
Greyhound fundraiser after this is all over - IF we all survive! Starting in half an
hour they will begin rationing gas throughout the state of Florida and getting basic
necessities like milk and Ice Cream is a joke. I hate watching grown people come to
blows over a bag of ice...
Gotta run, I'm at work and have stuff to do...
