Yes, different dogs, different breeds handle the toxins differently. One of my three has eaten a full bag of semi-sweet baking chocalate with little effect and nearly a full bottle of aspirin. Another of the three snarfed a small piece of chocalate (sammie is quick) and showed many of the symptoms. I'm thankfull that she is still around. As a petcare professional, I look out for this information. The following is a link for the grape/raisin toxin: http://www.vetinfo.com/doginfo.html Good chart of pets weight and vs amount of type of chocalte (with a listing of the amount of theobromide) http://pets.robbiehaf.com/chocolate.htm This site gives other information about chocolate and toxicity to dogs: http://www.dogs4sale.com.au/Health_Nutrition.htm This give information about chocolate, as well as onions: http://pets1st.ca/articles/00031TwoSeriousPetNoNo.asp This has always been a good source for dog health: http://www.twodogpress.com/twodogpress/healthy.html and this one also: http://www.petalia.com.au/Templates/StoryTemplate_Process.cfm? specie=Dogs&story_no=257 Toki Tony C Nelson TC Pet Services La Crosse, WI ------------------------ Yahoo!
