Not blue with white markings - blue with tan (fawn) markings. This is just one rendition of blue fawn. Blues of any kind are rare. It's a genetic recessive trait. Blue brindles seem to be more common that pure blues, but once in a while, we get lucky.... I have a blue of my own; Lucinda the Blue. She is currently at the vet's as there was a little mishap with the new foster tonight - they got crowded together in the back hall and the new girl spooked and got Lucinda in the back between the shoulder blades. A BIG three-corner tear that degloved from the muscle beneath. She's getting stitches and a drain put in tonight and will come home tomorrow afternnon when I pick up Abby who is getting spayed tomorrow (not the same foster) and have Courtney's stitches from her biopsy taken out. Fritz is now a basket case as his big sister isn't here with him. She will be fine. They will only use gas and no other anesthesia as she is 10 and has other health issues, so I am not worried at all. Fritzie is worried as we have recently passed on a few fosters to their forever homes, and he maybe thinks Lucinda isn't coming back either. Back to the blues... One of the recent fosters was a big handsome blue boy. More like a blue tuxedo as he has a white bib and toes. I have also placed a blue brindle female since starting to work with fosters. I've placed a total of 10 fosters so far, and that's one in five. Makes it look like I'm doing better than average since the blues seem to be more like one in 10 or 20.
Anyway, that's just my personal experience. The blues are the most sought after color since they are the rarest, but I still say they all are beautiful - regardless of their color.
