Noble gentles,

Every solstice or there-abouts, I need must remind our educated and erudite
correspondents (and I say this in great humility)....: Good manners suggest
that pertinent quotation of applicable portions of a given conversation are
demanded in gentle society rather than the coarse comprehensive repetition of a
conversation thread. Please remember that those who read the group as a digest
get to see the same replies and quotations over and over again as a result of
those who fail to appropriately quote.

In simpler terms: please judiciously quote only the portions of a message or
thread to which you would like to respond to. In times past, a 30 k message
size on a digest suggested either a bridge crossing or great doings worthy of
the chronicles. These past days it has often meant that a few have used the
list when possibly they might have considered e-mailing back and forth
off-list. Please be mindful of those who read the daily paper rather than
watch CNN headline news...

With Great Trepidation,

Mark the Goatspotter - Servent to R.R. Slatex Janet, C.T.D., and R.R. Cmon
Faster, C.T.D.
