Any huntress worth her salt must know this stuff!

Today is the Summer Solstice, Huzzah! This day will bring us the most daylight
hours all year.
But, something special is also happening in the heavens, and thus upon the
earth: This Solstice coincides with the full moon of June (knowne as the Honey
Moon, the Mead Moon, and the Rose Moon). The Sun of this longest day will pass
his reins of light to the brightest of Moons, and she shall banish the darkness
from the night.

Also, the full moons of Summer travel lower in the sky, making the moon appear
much larger. A full moon that lands on the Solstice appears the largest of all,
and this full moon will be the lowest on the horizon in 18 years!

A moon like this makes for greyt hunting: Hunt for the best things in life that
you have perhaps lost sight of over the years. In this longest day, stop and
smell the roses this moon is named for.

Enjoy this blessed day, and celebrate this blessed night! This extraordinary
day, which is both the fullness of the sun and the fullness of the moon (the
Sun as male energy, the Moon female) reminds us to find or recreate balance in
our own lives.
