This weekend I went to an event in the northern region of Atlantia (Maryland), called All Things Marshal. I got to course my dog, Vixen (Golden x Chow). She chased that lure as fast as possible until it stopped in front of three people. She felt these people only existed to rub her belly... Unfortunately, I don't remember the names of the SCAdians who set up the lure course. I thank them for setting up the course and letting my dog run it.
I brought my dog sized models of period horse carts. I enjoyed sharing my research into dog carts and horse carts with anyone who was interested. I took over 20 pictures of the horses and riders. The event was held at a large equestrian center and there was more than enough room for all the activities. Some of the equestrians rented an extra box stall for their dogs and themselves. The stalls are large and the barns are well ventilated and cool. So, I think I will rent a stall next year.
