Subject: [SCA_Coursing] Ambush update (good news)

To my and Ambush's friends on these lists,

Ambush went to see his vet today, with his head held tall and tail
wagging. I
think he was trying to prove something, but I wasn't sure just what
until after
all the checks and x-rays were done.

So far, the tumor is located in his shoulder and has not spread. His
heart,
lungs, etc., are still fine. The x-ray did show one spot on his lung
about the
size of a pencil eraser which isn't large enough for the vet to be
worried about
at the moment. He said he doesn't need to see him again for at least 2
months
and for us to keep doing what we are doing.

Let me tell you, we both danced out of the office and went pee-pee on a
bush, at
least Ambush did...LOL. The only worry at this time is of the bone in
his leg
becoming so brittle it will break easily.

Ambush has lost a bit of weight, only weighed in at 71 lbs, + a bit,
and is
eating like a horse. Dr. says to let him eat all he wants too..this is
gonna
get expensive. I caught him with his nose in the food bag the other
morning,
and I'm not sure how much he got, but he didn't pass up dinner
time...LOL.

So, for those of you with hounds, a little extra added fish oil, cod
liver oil,
salmon, tuna or sardines added to their diet every couple of days,
doesn't hurt
them at all. It actualy helps keep things in balance for them and they
enjoy it
as well. You may think fish is for cats, but hey, greys are cats in
dog
suits...hehehe..

Doin the happy(er) dance,
Corin
