On a long, dark night of Winter, one tiny candle is lit by another;
  and somehow, the tiny lights are enough
  to illuminate the entire room. Somehow, all things seem brighter;
  the heart grows warmer despite the cold.

  In the deepest darkness, the seeds of light are taking root.
  Beneath frozen ground, life already stirs.
  Music is not absent in, but merely measured by, the silences.
  In the seeming vacancy are all things waiting.

  These two tiny stars, a constellation of hope.
  And tomorrow, another star will join them, and then another...

  We call it "miracle" when the possible surprises our ignorance.

  The darkness would have us believe our souls are bound by gravity;
  insisting that it is easier to sink than to rise.
  Yet, even this tiny candle is wiser.

  Happy "C" Word to All, whichever yours may be! And blessings to you also if
you celebrated the Solstice and now the waxing of the days. And happiness and
peace to you also if the love, loyalty and sometimes even sacrifice of true
friendship and family are all ye need to know of sacredness.

  Against all darkness, against all odds; whatever illuminates the better
angels of your nature: Light your candle!

  Greyt Love,
  Mevanwy

but, Shakespeare was right!"
