Well, not really a press release, but definitely a fan base! (Ambrose, for as
quiet as he normally is, can really be prone to exaggeration!). But, hopefully,
he'll be in a news article for he was interviewed by a reporter (really)!
Bosie just wanted you all to know what a greyt good boy he was, and how
captivated the kids were yet again by his beauteous self, as he came to talk
about greyhounds and hunt culture in the Middle Ages (and fortunately, the
questions that the teachers and kids also ask about his racetrack days and
greyhound adoption, huzzah!). This is his 2nd year to help his Barony in these
school demos, and I'm very proud of my boy and how he can bring the Middle Ages
alive for these bright children, and also be an ambassador of grey rescue.
We have such gifted and personable gentles in our Barony (our King likes to
say (tease), "I know, I know, everything is wonderful in the Barony Three
Rivers!" But, we do have all the Kingdom level champions! And, sappily, we
really do all dig each other in the B3R!). It is always such an honor and joy
to spend the day with these generous folk as they share their talents for truly
the educational mission/ side of our play.
You should have heard the kids screaming in the bleachers for the
"tournaments"! You would have thought there was a basketball game! And
laughing so hard at our Baronial Court Jester, Geoff! (now, if you can get
sixth thru eighth graders to laugh, and scream, there should be some sort of
award for that...!).
Bosie said he could do without the fighting, though (they do alot more
"shield banging" than is typical of fighters...for the kids!). Sir Bozum is
scheduled for a couple more schools this year. Bid him mazel tov!
