I have been using SCALR for the past week (after frustratingly using
others AWS deployment frameworks) and I really like the mechanisms
in place for putting together servers as well as the interface to do
it.

A few starting questions I have regarding the setup which I have been
unable
to find in the FAQ or in the forums:

1) What is the recommended procedure for setting up an staging/
production
environment in SCALR? One application (with a given domain) and two
farms?
Two applications? What is the DNS setup? I catch a glimpse of
production/staging
example on the tour page and noticed two apps and two farms

2) How can I pass user-defined parameters to my running instances? I
noticed that
/etc/aws/farmconfig is used for this but I would like to add to it
(like if im running on
stage/production). It would be nice if these parameters can be
specified thru the UI.

3) What is the recommended procedure for importing an existing
database into the mysql
role? Since there is an initial snapshot in place on S3 upon booting
the mysql instance,
do I manually import it and rebundle? I tried this but somehow the
database got corrupted
(the schema exist but the data isnt).
