Try ZFS, it might work out better... I like that it automatically
starts striping when you add devices, and the compression is just too
cool. Easy management too (it works like lvm/mdraid/filesystem put
together). When you add a disk, for example, the filesystem
immediately changes, etc. Nice single commands.
