We're working with DC on the hardware load balancing options. The current plan is to set up ServerIron LB that would balance to one or two physical servers and two standalone EC2 farms - one in US and one in EU. That's for web.
The poller and queue processing jobs will be spread across multiple servers and polling different sets of farms at a time. ns3 that is currently on ec2 will become ns2 and a fully-functional nameserver instead of being proxy nameserver. ns3 will be launched in EU.
