Hi, I need general help in order to make sure I am not doing something wrong. any help will be appreciated.
Since my DB got too large for regular mysql role backups I am moving it to mysql lvm. I used the snapshot generated by scalr at /mnt (checked the creation time and it was an updated one). I moved the tar file to an mysqllvm instance replaced the mysql data directory with the one from the snapshot I copied. Started the mysqllvm db. All ok up to here. Checking the number of rows in several tables I found a distinct difference....!!!! The number of rows in the new mysqllvm database was substantially lower.
