Hi,

This is Neeraj, very new to Scalr.
Actually I am planning to use/setup Scalr for my web site. So as a
first set I thought let me create a sample web application and the
setup for the same.
So as a first step, I got one base AMI from the Amazon instances (of
course using my AWS credential), installed Scalr on that instance and
created one fresh private AMI.
Here is what I have done so far:

1) Created my AMI with Scalr installed. To install Scalr, I followed
the instruction (http://blog.getasysadmin.com/2008/11/how-to-install-
scalr-on-ubuntu-810-ec2.html).
2) I created another user (using Create Client option).
3) Using that user credential, I logged into the Scalr system.
4) Created a farm.
5) Now I am trying to create new application.

Here I am stuck :( and I have several questions so thought let me get
help from you people.

Question 1) Since I am trying this for my demo web application which
is not yet open for public and it has no public name (e.g. www.myapp.com).
While creating application in Scalr I noticed that I need to specify
name server which I don’t have at this moment for my app. So is this
possible to setup Scalr for application without name server?

Question 2) Once I created farm I noticed a drop down list with
existing roles/AMIs (www, base, app etc). Now I am confused about the
relevant of these AMIs/Roles. Also I am not able to understand, on
which AMI/Role my web application will reside and how?

It will be really great help to me if I can get some help/guidelines
regarding this so that I can setup Scalr?
Really appreciate the help.

Thanks,
Neeraj
