many spam filters block mail originating from amazon (doesn't matter  
if it's an elastic ip). Make sure you have specified valid SPF,  
DomainKeys and DKIM records in your DNS. The latter two requires that  
you sign outgoing mail.

You might also want to consider relaying your mail through a  
commercial outbound relay provider.
