Hi Colin,

Go to the instance and use the Options pulldown on the right - View
Logs.

I was able to get into the instance using PuTTY, since I couldn't use
the web based SSH in Scalr because the instance was still
initializing.  That's how I was able to restart MySQL.  You'll need to
install the private key file into PuTTY to make that work, and use the
IP address of the instance.  Login as root with no password.  /etc/
init.d/mysql restart
