Thanks for that. Whilst I understand _what_ that's showing me I don't understand how it's updated or how timely the updates are. Could you explain? At the moment I'm looking at writing a shell script to handle the output from ec2_listhosts. Would using /etc/aws/hosts/app/ be as reliable?
