I think there is bug in snapshot code. When snapshot is uploaded it overwrites old snapshot. I tried 2GB DB and it tooks 4 minutes. If server goes down when snapshot is uploading then there is no snapshot at all. May snapshot should loaded to new location and then moved or old snapshot deleted deleted It will guarantee that there is always at least one snapshot.
We except that when instance would be under load it will take longer to upload. e.g. 10-15 minutes If we will set snapshot to be made every 1 hour. There is 25% chances that snapshot would be corrupted if instance will go down while uploading snapshot. Let me know when I am wrong.
