I don't know, I like it I guess. :) The little that I've used slack, I like it. Not enough to displace Debian as my distro of choice, but it has some niceities. In particular, the lack of crud installed by default. I used to be able to rip down Debian sarge to its bare metal for building firewalls, as of late even Debian is getting cruftier. Slack seems to value lightweight default installs. I'm now favoring OpenBSD for that sort of thing, because i like pf.
