Fred has stated his position, for the moment.  Originally Mr. Petersen did not want to close any schools. (Must have been an election year.)  Now he has targeted two schools based on the number of students who attend them and with really no other substantiated criteria.  When these overfull classrooms move, the teachers would move with them.  The real budget savings come from staff elimination.  Where is the real savings?  Why are full Schools with large neighborhood populations targeted and not the rural schools with small populations?  Offer us a real solution that we can support.  The Petersen plan is a shell game but  he is using a bus rather than a shell.  Close well utilized buildings in populated areas and move the students to the underutilized buildings in the rural areas.  I don't buy it!

Just my opinion.
