Last Thursday evening we discussed forming the criteria for any future school closings. I had stated that I would appoint three board members to work with Dr. Bartleson on this matter. The SBers charged with this task are Fred Peterson, Brant Deppa and Sharon Ropes. I would hope this could begin in the near future. We also discussed Community Partners. To date we have two potential partners, WSU as well as the Winona Railroad Club. To date we have virtually no criteria (I'm beginning to dislike that word) to sort the candidates out. I want to start a committee to address this as well. I would like to see a minimum of two and maximum of three board members, two to three community members, Dr. Bartleson and one elementary principal as well. Sharon has asked to serve on the committee. Are there any of you interested??? I would want to be kept in the loop on all meeting dates and times. I guarantee you will receive your reward.
