Hello, SchoolTool 1.5.0 is now available. This is the first release from development series leading to 1.6 release for Ubuntu Maverick in October.
It is not a stable release and is not recommended for anyone already using SchoolTool in their schools, and as such is made available in a separate PPA, instructions below. Changes since the last release, 1.4.1, are: - Introduce minimalistic learning levels. - Introduce versioned catalogs. - Speed up editing of section learners and instructors (https://launchpad.net/bugs/599258) - Allow applying timetable for a part of the term only (https://launchpad.net/bugs/532428) - XLS Importer catches errors before trying to create objects. (https://launchpad.net/bugs/306339) - TimeTable object now has consecutive_periods_as_one flag for use by journal - Removed SchoolTool logo from PDF footers (https://launchpad.net/bugs/561558) - Update translations (ca, en_AU, eu, ne, pl, tr) Bugfixes will be backported to the stable series and released as 1.4.2 shortly. To install this release on Ubuntu Lucid, add the development PPA to your software sources: sudo apt-add-repository ppa:schooltool-owners/dev sudo apt-get update sudo apt-get install python-schooltool Look at https://launchpad.net/~schooltool-owners/+archive/dev/ to see what other packages are made available there.
