While we're on the subject of discussing ICS files, I have been having a bit of a play with this. I just copy the URL from "Open in iCal" and paste it into Mozilla Sunbird's "Remote Server URL" box when adding a remote calendar. Then, when you select "Reload remote calendars" it re-gets the file from the SchoolTool server.

However... this is where I'm running into problems. It appears the ICS file always outputs the time in UTC, no matter what I set it to in the preferences and in Sunbird. I took Sunbird out of the picture and just opened the ICS file on it's own. All timestamps are concluded with a Z (meaning UTC) and the time is not translated back to a timezone specific time.

Just to make it a bit clearer... I add an appointment at 9am local time, and the ICS file records the appointment as being at 9am UTC.

Is there another timezone flag somewhere that needs to be set?

Regards
Richard
