After some helpful nagging by Alejandro Sánchez Marín, I installed LinguaPlone on schooltool.org, which allows apparently easy translation of website content. This is currently enabled for all the "Archetypes" based objects, which (after some tweaking on my part) includes pretty much everything except the front page (yes, this is a problem) and the weblog/news entries.
I've initially added French and Spanish as choices, and given erchache permisson to add content. If you'd like to contribute some translations in these or other languages, drop me an email.
